Hi, I’m Michelle Carney, LMSW, a licensed social worker and certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor with over 25 years of experience. My approach to therapy is integrative and compassionate—I meet you where you are and provide a safe, non-judgmental space for growth and healing.

I am deeply committed to the therapeutic process and will always ensure you feel supported and understood at every step. Therapy can be challenging, but we’ll move at your pace, creating an environment where progress feels natural and achievable. My empathetic, and supportive nature helps me connect with people of all ages, and I’m passionate about helping you navigate life’s challenges with a focus on your well-being and success.

There’s no one-size-fits-all method in my practice. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy, gestalt therapy, and logotherapy, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs.

My goal is to provide a space where you feel free to explore your feelings, thoughts, and what you want out of life. Together, we’ll find the approach that works best for you.

With over 25 years of experience, I have worked in hospitals, private practice, and in collaboration with pain management doctors to provide compassionate and effective care.

Chronic Pain

I specialize in helping individuals navigate the challenges of chronic pain while providing emotional support. Through collaboration with pain management doctors, I assist clients in advocating for the right treatments and accessing necessary resources. My goal is to empower you to manage both the physical and emotional aspects of chronic pain while feeling supported and equipped for success.

Couples Therapy

I work with partners to build stronger connections and healthier relationships through open communication, mutual understanding, and tailored strategies. Every couple is unique, and I ensure each approach meets the specific needs of both individuals and their relationship.

Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor

I support individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction in taking the first steps toward recovery and lasting change. My approach helps clients break free from destructive patterns and build healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Anxiety Depresion and Life Challenges

I offer compassionate support to individuals facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and existential challenges. Together, we’ll explore your concerns, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward creating a life filled with purpose, resilience, and hope.

HPRP : Healthcare Professionals Provider

As a provider for the Health Professional Recovery Program (HPRP), I support healthcare professionals managing the unique stresses and challenges associated with addiction and mental health struggles. If you are part of the HPRP program, I can guide and support you throughout your journey to recovery and well-being.
